Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

While married, my ex and I had custody paperwork finalized through the Attorney General. When we filed for divorce we filed "uncontested- without children" because we already had custody paperwork established. However, my ex changed things from our original paperwork in the divorce degree without my noticing. Which court order is valid? Since the divorce was filed "without children" the judge had no ruling on visitation, we simply attached the paperwork already filed.

This is a mess. Although no one intended to mislead the court, the court was mislead. These two actions should have been joined - and now a petition needs to be filed to incorporate the orders in the SAPCR into the divorce decree. It is unlikely that you can unravel this yourself, and should consider retaining an attorney to modify and clarify your order.
