If married in jamaica but not registered in US, do I have to get u.s. divorce?

Thank you so much for your question. Yes, it is necessary to be divorced, as Texas recognizes the validity of marriages from outside U.S. borders. In order for any future marriage to be legal, you must first be divorced.
