i have been married for 13. i left my husband almosst 3 years ago. he was mentally mean. he left his child threaten my life and children steal from me and blamed me for anything that ever went wrong. he also was having relations with other women. can he file desertion if I decided to divorce. we live in TX

You need to find an attorney in your county.

You are still married. Texas does not have legal separation. The attorney can explain all of your options to you. You are not required to stay married in Texas.

I would check out attorneys on this website. Read the answers and find one that you like that seems nice to you.
