Unfortunately you have not given enough information to answer.

As soon as you learned of this lie did you leave him?

How long ago did you marry?

If you just got married and you left him as soon as you learned that he lied to you, you can try to annul the marriage.

If you stayed and you have been married a long time and you have kids, then annulment is not an option.

You need to meet in person with an attorney and discuss this matter. It's just not a simple question.

If you have purchased items together, then the annulment would not be appropriate for you since it would not divide the items. An annulment means the marriage never occurred.

I recommend that you call Attorney Patricia Bushman at 713-807-9405. She's been pretty busy since she's been in court in a trial for the past week but schedule a free appointment to see her. I office with her. Tell Pat that Fran sent you to see her.

If you want to see me, then I charge $150 an hour - 713-847-6000.

Good luck.
