married to two people

hi. i have been legally seperated from my spouse for 2 yrs now. she lives in utah and i live in texas. i am preparing to get married soon to my fiance now. my wife and i got married in hawaii. can i get married in texas to my fiance and divorce my wife after the fact? is this illegal?

It is illegal. It doesn't matter where you got married the first time, you cannot remarry until 30 days after you get divorced from the first wife.

You definitely cannot marry your fiance prior to divorcing your wife. If you did, it could constitute the criminal act of bigamy. Don't go there. Get the divorce first, no matter how difficult that may be to achieve.
