Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Getting married in a different state from the one you currently reside in

My fiance and I live in TX but want to be married in VA. Do we need to have a TX state liscence, a VA state liscence or both?

If you want to marry in Virigina, you will need to contact that state and see what they require to marry in that state.

If the marriage is valid in VA, then it would be valid in TX.

Have a wonderful wedding!
