If I was married to my first wife, we split up and she said she got the divorce but didnt and I got married not knowing that I was still married to the first would my marriage to the second woman be valid...

Assuming you were not divorced and the marriage to wife 1 did not , the second marriage would not be valid. As soon as the marriage to the first wife ends the marriage to the second wife becomes valid. You should retain a family law attorney to determine whether there was a divorce and to assist you with filing a divorce to validate the second marriage.
