Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
I was married to this woman 5 years ago for only a month and she left and I couldn't find her to get an annullment and I remarried, now she has found me and found out I remarried and she is threatning to send me to jail for bigamy, can she do that, because I thought this 2nd marriage is invalid. And, after all these years do I get an annullment from her or a divorce?

You should immediately retain an attorney. In the state of Texas, bigamy is a 3rd degree felony. (under certain circumstances it can rise to the level of 2nd or 1st degree felony). Do not discuss this situation any further, except in a confidential setting with your attorney.
Based on what you have written, you need to retain a law firm to assist you with your family law related issue. Under Texas criminal law, Bigamy is a 3rd degree felony and may increase to a 1st degree felony. A 3rd degree felony is punishable by 2 - 10 yrs in prison and optional $10,000 fine. A 1st degree felony is pubishable by 5 - 99 or life in prison and optional $10,000 fine. You do not want to discuss this anymore to anyone other than with a law firm. If my law firm can assist you with this legal issue or any other legal matter, please contact us at [email protected] to arrange for an initial consultation.
Ouch! I assume you live in Harris County. The judges don't like people that don't end one marriage before starting a new one.
Forget the annulment. You need a divorce.
You might need 2 divorces since I assume spouse #2 is not going to be happy about this situation.
