Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

ive been married a little over a year and bought my wife everything she wanted to have a perfect life. Then her sons bio wanted to be involved and began making threats so we started the paper work to terminate parental rights and for me to adopt him. after a short negotiation he signed the paper work over for $3000. the parental rights case is in the bag but has not gone in front of a judge the adoption is still aways out. now she is talking about me divorce. she makes as much as i net, but from the gi bill/disability/unemployment. is it possible to stop the adoption and how much of an alamony case does she have? I love the boy so child support for him does not bother me, its paying for her that im worried is going to take the majority of my income

Stopping the adoption is easy; you just don't follow through with it. The adoption can't go through unless there's a final hearing where you take an oath and tell the Judge in open court that you want to adopt this child.

A one-year marriage? She won't be given alimony. Is she in a wheelchair? Unable to work? My guess is that she's a healthy grown-up. She can support herself, just like all the other healthy adults in Texas.
