If you can agree on all the issues, and it is an uncontested divorce, I can prepare the paperwork for $199 through my online law office - more information is available at http://www.perezlawonline.com/texas-divorce/. The county will also charge you filing fees of around $250, which can be waived if you show that you cannot afford to pay them.
Good luck!
Robert Perez's price is very fair.
An uncontested divorce is very simple if your husband will sign all paperwork & mail it back to you. The problem arises is if he won't cooperate. Then, unfortunately, you will need to hire an attorney to help you.
Quite frankly, I've had "simple" divorce with no kids & no property take longer to get divorce than they were together (together 6 weeks) because the husband would not cooperate about anything. He tried to get wife's parents to pay him money & sports car to sign the paperwork. (Her parents were doctors and very wealthy.) They refused and the "battle" began. Husband stalked wife & beat her up while divorce was pending. Wife's apartment & car were broken into during divorce & all her "stuff" was stolen. Wife got a protective order & had to quit her job, sell her car & move out of state to escape him & his family. It cost her family plenty in my time & in protecting their daughter's life
