Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

i was married 7 years and we have 3 kids together i do have a older son from a previous marriage so all together there are 4 kids. i have been trying to get divorced for some time and was just now able to get enough money together to get a lawyer, we went and set temorary orders and are waiting on the final decree but here is the tricky part i have a question about, during the last 3 months i had a affiar with someone i am still seeing and we are pregnant together, husband that i am divorceing was fixed and we where not having sex so thier is no question who the father is. my soon to be ex was and still is very controling and has it set in the temparary orders that the man that i am having a child with can not have and contact with the kids,my lawyer said this only last until the final decree, is this true?, the man is a good guy but does have a 8 and a half year old dwi with child but has done his time and been sober since that i am thinking is the only reason my exs lawyer pushed for this, i wouldnt allow a bad person around my kids and the father to be is a good guy with a past that he has learned from. we are having a child due in aug, the temorary orders where set in feb. what can i do? i am not letting him come around while i have the kids for now but my soon to be ex is saying he never wants the other guy around even after the divorce. i am having a child with him he has never put my kids in harm and i want him around after the divorce and plan on marrying him when the time is right but i am not sure how thing will legaly work once the divorce is final since as of now it is in the temarary orders that he is to have no contact with the kids when i have them, how can i have a child and be married to someone if they cant come around. this is a soon to be ex that is trying to control everything and this is the only thing he has left to control help what can i and cant i do?

Listen to your attorney. Temporary orders are often a disastrous mess. The court quickly cobbles some basic rules together to protect kids and property. Temporary orders are hardly ever very well considered.

Just make sure your attorney knows what a big deal this is to you and that you will not accept a settlement that imposes that kind of restriction on you. I doubt a trial court judge will impose that kind of restriction, so just be ready to go to trial if your soon to be ex keeps trying to control you like this.
