Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
I was married for 7 years to a man, I thought I would be with for the rest of my life. He convienced me to obtain a refund on our taxes that was created due to my over payment on my taxes of years of self employment. During our divorce procedures he had me to agree to leaving my marriage to him with virtually nothing. The thing I regret the most is that I was so in love with this man I guess I was blind to what he was really about. He also convince me to agree to paying half of the tax bill that was taken out of his taxes after our divorce. And when I was unable to pay, he put a lien on my house. Well, my question is, what can I do to convince him that it would be in his and my best interest for him to remove this lien from my house. Especially, since after all these years (since 2003) he has gotten away Scott - free. During the marriage, we had his house remodeled, his daughter finished college, his daughter received a new car. I did not ask for any of his retiremement of disability he received from 25 plus years on his government job. Thank you.

If the divorce has been final then it is finished. 30 days after the judge signs the final decree it is final -- it is so to speak -- written in stone and finished.
If your divorce is pending, then you have options. But I don't think your divorce is pending from what you wrote in your question.
What can you do to convince him that it would be in HIS best interest to remove a lien from YOUR home? To be truthful, nothing that I can think of. You summed it up correctly -- he got away totally and YOU got the shaft.
You gave HIM money and YOU got nothing in return.
I can't think of anything that you could do to convince him to give you money.
