Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Only married 1 yr and a few months now and its constantly fighting. I believe the marriage is leading towards divorce. We recently moved out my apt. Into a house we're renting. My husband is constantly telling me and my kids to leave now and has started doing things to make me want to go. He's a vet that is receiving spouse benefits for being married and we have 1 child together that he is also receiving benefits for. In case of divorce do u believe I can ask for spousal support until I get stable (minium of 6 mths). Very lost, broken hearted Houston, Texans

Since you have only been married a year, it would be very difficult. However, the child support is not a problem.

You would need to file for divorce and ask for temporary orders.

You definately need to consult with an experienced family law attorney.

It appears you life in Harris County.

If you need a referral, please contact me.

FYI: Only a judge can make you leave the place where you are living. He can ask you to leave but only a judge can make you leave. However, if you are in danger, I recommend that you leave! The risk of being killed is not worth any possessions you own! Be safe - be alive!
