Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
If I marry in court (common law marriage) in a state where it is recognized, but start living with my spouse as actual husband and wife in a state where this kind of marriage is not recognized, will it be valid or invalid within that state?

If you filled out a form (cert to recognize common law marriage) then you are legally married in Texas like any other couple.
If you move away from Texas, you are as married as anyone else. You have a valid TX marriage. If you want to be divorced, you would have to go through a divorce in the State of Texas in order to end your legal relationship.
If you are worried, you can ask an attorney in your "new" state. Check out on this website or on www.avvo.com
