Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
mediated (dis)agreement
almost a year ago, my child's father filed an emergency restraining order against me while our son, of whom i had sole posses & conserv, based on allegations that were proved to be entirely false . we mediated to reach a temp agreement. a GAL was assigned to the case. we mediated again, to no avail. his atty demanded yet a 3rd mediation, in which i was told by the mediator several disturbing things that led me to believe i wouldnt have a chance in court of regaining custody. within 24 hours, i learned that none of the things i was told were true. the mediator was impatient, showing his frustration in my indecision. one would think he was actually the opposing counsel, not displaying the impartial, unbiased interest as a mediator is trained to. i signed the agreement after feeling rushed and threatened that a court hearing would leave me with less rights to my child & outrageous amounts of ordered support. the father has a lengthy history of drug, alcohol, assault, theft & other charges incl assault/dom viol @ me, crim mischeif (my vehicle) DWI 3 yrs ago, never completed requirs from the original order. please advise what action i may take to UNdo the medi agreement & request a mediator that DOESNT work @ father's atty's office
