Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

mediation

My ex is playing games with my visitation and communication with my kids. I am trying to set up court ordered mediation thru the courts to work it out. He is not wanting to work with the courts or me. It looks like I will have to go back to court (something I was trying to avoid). What are my chances of getting what I want? Does mediation really have any power with the courts?

Re: mediation

Mediation is good if the parties are willing to work together to resolve the problems. If one party refuses, mediation won't work. It sounds like you may have to present your case to the court and let it decide, if mediation doesn't work. Is he violating a Court Order right now regarding your visitation? If so, you could file to enforce the Order.
