Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

medical consent.

I live in Texas and have custody of my daughter. I have remarried and the biological mom still has legal rights. I am not trying to terminate these right. But with my daughters special needs I have to take off work every time she needs to go to the doctor. Is there a document that I can sign that gives my current wife the right to consent to treatment that doesn't interfere with the rights of her biological mom. The biological mom isn't in the picture, but still I don't want to terminate her rights.

Re: medical consent.

You can complete this form at the doctor's office. It is not necessary to have a court order to designate the stepmom as standing in your stead for routine medical treatments.
