Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Mental Distress

My divorce was final July 2007 after a long horrible year of desperation. I did not know my ex had been having an affair for 4 years. I had been very ill with Thyroid disease during that time. After temporary orders were in place an anonymous email was sent to my boss and others where I work alleging that I committed workplace fraud. This caused enormous distress and took a long while to find that it was his 'ho who sent it. I became very depressed and agreed to many things in my weakened state in mediation that I now know are not in the best interest of my 10 year old daughter. I was not in a state of mind to make good decisions at that point. Are there 'do-overs' in TX family law? The two of them were recording me, filing police reports on me, accusing me of instability and drug abuse, all ridiculous but effectively creating tremendous anxiety. Isn't there a law in TX that can help when you have been deliberately and calculatingly placed in mental and financial distress? Can I make this right and regain the custody, money and rights that were lost to these devious people?

Re: Mental Distress

Custody and support orders can and are modified all the time; the rest, probably not, but we'd need to talk about it in detail. Call the office to set up a consultation if you want to discuss your options.
