Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

mentally disabled children

I have full custody of our twin sons who are severely autistic. My ex-husband does pay child support and he used to help me on the weekend with ours son. 2 years ago we had a disagreement and he has not been involved with ours sons since then because he is angry with me. I have had to quit a full time job because I was not able to keep up with all the commands my children needed. I have had to hire someone to help me with my sons because sometimes it is too overwhelming for me. I would like to know if I can get my ex-husband to pay half of the providers salary since he chooses not to be involved with our sons.

Re: mentally disabled children

You might be able to get additional child support for the condition and care requirements of your children. You will definitely need the assistance of a good lawyer. Better see about getting one ASAP.
