Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My Ex is Mentally Unstable!

My ex-husband (divorced almost 3yrs) is bi-polar & recently tried to kill himself (overdose of anti-depressants). This resulted in a short (mandatory) stay at a mental institution. Now he is wanting to start getting our 3 young children on the weekends. This REALLY scares me! He just saw them for the first time in a year right before all of this happened. I am a single mom of 3 & don't have extra money for an expensive lawyer. Is there any way I can legally limit him to suporvised visits without hiring a lawyer?

Depends on what your timetable is. There are a few women's help organization who have resources for your problem. Many attorneys also take payment plans for these types of cases. I know I do, but you're too far away for me to help you.
