Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Military father seeking divorce and custody

I am currently stationed in TX, I was married while stationed in GA and daughter was born there. I will be seeking a divorce here in TX. My wife doesn't and will not work, has no driver's license (wants me to pay off some issues so she can get it back), is addicted to Xanax ( not to mention a history of using depression related medication) and wants custody of our daughter. Mediation may be useless as she has a VERY nasty attitude and is confrontational even to the point of putting herself in a bad situation. Completely without regard. While I believe she wouldn't intentionally put my daughter in harm's way, her absent-mindedness and her over all apathy cause her to leave medications in my daughter's reach with no lid, leaving the front door open (my daughter WANDERED OFF once while I wasn't there). She doesn't have custody of her first daughter, her 1st husband does and I would like to know the specifics behind that. She harrasses me at work (both by phone and showing up). What I am getting at is this: How can I IMMEDIATELY get her out of my home, away from my job, and maintain at least ''primary'' custody of my daughter?

Re: Military father seeking divorce and custody

File for divorce, get a TRO and temporary custody orders. So what are you waiting for?
