Re: Minor Emancipation

A minor may petition the proper court for removal of the disabilities of minority. It is within the discretion of the judge as to whether or not it will be granted, and the judge considers such things as the maturity level of the minor, the school record, the ability to be self-supporting, the reasons for the request for emancipation, and such as that.

If you are 0ver 17 you will probably attain age 18 before you could get a petition such as this through the system.
