Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
mistress
I had an affair with a woman with whom I wanted to end it, but felt threatened she would tell my wife. She didn't say she would tell but she destroyed objects around the office to make me feel threatened. She also told me that she wouldn't get pregnant, but ended up getting pregnant anyway, and now she is wanting a large amount of child support. Do I have any legal rights in court to stop
her? Does my wife? We know that she can't be sued for alienation.

Re: mistress
Unfortunately, if the child is in fact yours, you will be ordered to pay child support. The law does not provide a way around that. It is even unlikely that a court would find that it is in the child's best interest to terminate your parental rights so that you don't have to pay support, if you chose to file such a suit. Contact a family law attorney before you agree to anything or take any action.
