Can a mobile home I bought with my early inheirtance ne give to my husband?
We were homeless and IO went to my grandmother and asked for help, she said she was giving each grandchild 10,000 upon her death but that she could not bear my 5 children to be without a home so she gave me my 10 now. I bought a mobile home (used ) paid cash for it and am now living in it with my 5 children. he says it is community property and on his land and I have to leave. Can I move the house off his land. I do not want to take his familys land only my mobil home.

The $10,000 was a gift that is separate property (yours) and what you bought with that money is separate property as long as you can trace or show the how the money went from your grandmother to you to the person you bought the trailer from without being mixed with any money belonging to both you and your husband. You mentioned just the trailer was bought with this money, if it is sitting on land that belongs to you and your husband, then that is community property, but if the land and trailer were both bought with your $10,000, then it is your separate property.
