Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Modified Standard Visitation for Airline Pilot

I am getting a divorce from my

husband who is a commercial

Airline Pilot, and we have a three

year old son. I have been told that

the Standard Visitation Schedule

will not be something the Courts

will order because of my

husband's inability to be in town

on all the days, however I am

uncertain about what type of

schedule will be best so that my

child's life, or mine, is not

disrupted by a schedule that

changes monthly. Please advise

me on what types of scheduling

possibilities there are for someone

in my position, or what the Courts

might order.

Re: Modified Standard Visitation for Airline Pilot

In order to deviate from the standard visitation, he will have to present a viable alternative to the court. He may or may not be successful -- that would depend on his reasons, the nature of his plan, and your reasons for opposing it.

This sounds like an excellent issue to try to resolve at mediation.
