Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
modifying child support
my ex is the custodial parent for my daughter who is now 17. 8 months ago he told me to come get her and for her to live with me because he couldn't handle her anymore. I only pay 50.00 a month child support. Do I have to get a lawyer to stop my child support I pay him?or would it be cheaper to just keep paying him the 50.00 a month child support for the next year and a half instead of getting it modified.
Thanks,

Re: modifying child support
It appears that your question is whether it would cost more than $900 to terminate the child support. IF your husband is going to be cooperative and sign the order, then it is probably worth your while. If not, then ask the ex to return the money when he gets it.
