his or her money?

daughter is married to a ex-marine and wishes to get divorce, but he says that she owes him money that she spent while he was over seas. does she have to pay him back that money or was it ''their money'' to spend? he said that he will not sign anything until he gets his money back.

While I can appreciate his sentiments about being "paid back", I cannot think of any reason why she would have to pay him anything for any reason, unless it would be for some community property reimbursement - which I don't see in your question. His signature is not required to get a divorce. File it, serve him and get a hearing set after 60 days have expired.
