Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Morality Clause in Texas
We have a morality clause in our temporary divorce papers. My husband abided by it for the first 9 months, but the first night of his summer visitiation with our son, he violated it and said it was ''unenforceable''. If it is court ordered, and agreed upon by both parties (he signed the papers), what are the possible consequences of his violation, if any?

Re: Morality Clause in Texas
Based on what you have written, it might be enforceable against your husband. Assuming that you have an attorney, you should contact him or her and seek their opinion. If you do not have an attorney, please contact my legal assistant Jennifer ([email protected]) to arrange for an initial consultation.

Contact your lawyer, advise him of the circumstances, and ask about filing a motion for enforcement (and clarification, if necessary).
