name on mortage

I have been married for two years and my husband has not added me to his house mortage, How important is it to be on the mortage?

You may have a community property interest in all marital property whether or not your name is on it. How much depends upon a variet of factors.

At least if you get divorced, the mortgage company can't come after you if he defaults on the mortgage.
