Why would i be sent an petition in suit affecting the parent-child relationship

Might be from somebody who thinks he is the father of the child. Maybe he wants visitation and to pay child support. Maybe not.

If you have been served with a petition of this type, someone is attempting to legally modify your relationship with your child; probably dad. It is serious. You need to take that document to an attorney pronto and find out exactly what is going on and you need to file an answer to that petition. If you can't afford a lawyer contact Legal Aid, but do not ignore it.
