Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Mother attempted suicide while alone when her children were out of town visiting grandparents. She has never been suicidal before never ever hurt the children is a great mother. She is letting the children stay at the ex husbands while she gets some therapy. Ex husband is now trying to get the decree changed. If she does not sign this paperwork and gets legal advice will she lose coutody of her kids. Her ex is telling her that in the state of texas she will lose the rights to her children for 2 years. Is this true? Please help Thanks

He will probably get custody of the children.

His assertion about "losing rights to the children for two years" is absurd. The Judge will give her some kind of visitation with the children, and will order her to pay child support (if Dad gets custody).
