Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Is the mother of a child in the right or wrong for not letting the father take the child as in the court order, but the. Father has not been around, has only seen the child twice in her existance and the last time he visited or even called it had been 2 years he shows now she is older and maturing he shows up and wants to take her. It would be giving a child to a complete stranger. Is she right for not letting him take her, or is she wrong. The child is only three years old.

One should not violate a court order.

The order would have required Mom to "surrender" the child at a certain time. Did Dad show up at the right time?

She can be sued for contempt if she refuses visitation.
