Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Does a mother have to allow the father of her children to see the children even if he's paying child support? The father is a parolee with assault and felony drug possession on his record. He constantly threatens the mother with trying to get the kids taken away, taking her to court, etc etc. It's become quite a hostile environment having to deal with him

I assume that there's a Court order in place that provides for Dad's visitation.

The payment of child support has nothing to do with the visitation; Dad doesn't "buy" his weekends with child support money. If Mom is ordered to surrender the children to him on Friday at 6:00 pm, then she has to do it. The Court order is enforceable by contempt. Women have been put in jail for refusing Court-ordered visitation.

If he threatens her with "taking her to Court," she should ignore him (or hang up the phone).
