Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

The mother and father were never married but have a 4 year old child. The mother has custody. The father has not seen the child consistanly and only when it is convienent for him. Now he wants to take the child for a month at a time. Does the mother have the rights to say no.

I assume that Dad is wanting to exercise his July all-month visitation under a Standard Possession Order.

The answer is: Yes, Mom has to surrender the child. If you read the court order, Dad's possession isn't contingent on whether or not he exercises all of it.
