Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I have a mother in law that threatens to take away my kids I am great mom no drugs no abuse no nothing can she intervene in custody? She's the grandmother. I'm afraid to leave the home and divorce in fear husband will take our kids. I know is silly but thats what is holding me back. I would leave to my family's in a new County new town same state.

No, she can't "take away your kids." Whenever she makes these threats (let's say it's on the phone), you should say, "I don't permit people to threaten me over the phone," and hang up. Do this every time.

Read section 102.003 of the Texas Family Code (and suggest to her that SHE read it too) - it has to do with STANDING:
