Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
My mother lost custody of me and my three sisters. As of right now, I'm told the guardians we're with now (we're all separate) only have temporary custody. But our CPS case worker hasn't mentioned much about us going back to my mom even though she's stable. Basically, my question is: When CPS closes the case, will I be able of moving in with my mom on my own? I'll be 16 in a few days and I'd like to be back home so I can bring in income to help my mom get my sisters back. But I know my father (who I'm living with now) will not willing let me move. What can I do? Please..help..

Your situation is very complicated. You need a local family law attorney to help you out.
A lot of this depends on the status of the case when CPS is done. I'm sorry that I can't give you a more specific answer than this, but these cases are very fact-specific and without knowing why CPS got involved, what the agreements and court orders say, and what your mom's legal status is, I can't tell you much.
I can tell you that if you need to move in with your mom to help her raise money to re-establish her right to possession of the other children, that's an indication that the court might not view your mother as being as stable as you think she is. That might not be fair, but it might be a reality.
If you would scrape up $300 or so, you could consult with a very good family law attorney in your area and get some very solid advice and a game plan put in place.
Good luck!!
