Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Every since my mother got out of prison when I was eight, she and my older brother have been threatening to kill me and tried a couple of times. She has even admitted this, so I am not just overreacting. It has come to the point where I am scared to walk in the house. I am with my dad for the summer, but our time together is almost at an end. I am trying to locate steps I need to take to move out and live with my dad. I am 16, but I am a sophomore in college. She thinks that she knows the law better than anyone, so I want to better understand the law that is pertaining to my situation, so I know what I need to do.

Your dad can ask to modify the current court orders & ask for custody of you.
He just needs to contact a family law attorney.
