Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I am a mother of 2 young children who I love very much. I always go to work very early and my husband does the "morning shift". I pick up the kids in the afternoon and get them to their activities and feed them dinner. I bathe them and put them to bed. I would like to spend the night in a hotel due to my husband and I not getting along at all. My question is that if i leave in the evenings and we end up with a divorce will l loose custody of my children since I am the one who has "left"?
