Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Can I move from one state to another
I recently found out I am pregnant by my current husband. Our marriage is not going well and I am considering moving back home to Wisconsin where all of my friends and family are. I have 6 children from a previous marriage...home to all of these children is also in Wisconsin.
My current husband has told me, I can't leave this state now or even after I have the baby. He has told me he will fight me for custody and even if I have the baby he will only have to pay 500/month in child support. He makes 72,000 per year and take home is 4400/month. He told me if I move I will be ordered back to Texas.
Can someone please tell me what my rights are to moving and my responsiblities are to my husband and the baby. Thank you!

I offer a free phone consultation for people that live in the Houston area. My phone number is 713-847-6000.
Basically, he can ask that the child be ordered to remain in the county he lives in. The Judge would make the final decision in this matter.
Based on the limited information you gave me, I believe that he's under-estimated his child support to you.
