Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Moved out of state.....making me move back??!!!

A yr a go I left a violent relationship w/ my little boy. We moved from TX to OH. My ex-boyfriend filed for custody In TX. This case has been going on for almost a year now. In Jul he was found to have 2 illegal substances in his sys. during out trial. We went back to court in Nov. I was given Sole custody BUT I was ordered to move back to the state by 2-1-06. I haven't moved back because I am afraid for mine and my son's safety. He has threatened me in emails and over the phone that he will make my life a living hell when I get back to the state and that he is going to take my son & I will never see him again! I am scared that my son will be taken away from me by the courts if I don't move back he is only 2 y/o. I don't use drugs Ex has a prot. order against him.Is my only hope that I get jurisdiction moved to here?? I am currently being pressured by a few pleadings that his atty. has filed with the courts in TX. I am drained financially and my fiancee lives here and cannot move because of his job. I am seeking the help of the local domectic violence center for help but I feel powerless. He is currently being investigated by CPS and has warrnts out for his arrest. I really need some advice. I cannot afford a lawyer any longer.

I'd borrow money from friends and family and retain an attorney in Texas.

Your new relationship is irrelevant. The Texas court has jurisdiction over your son. You can live wherever you want but right now the child has been ordered to live in Texas.

Now is not the time to NOT have an attorney.

All your reasons for not wanting to move, CPS, threats, warrants, etc. are nice, but the family court needs to be made aware of them!

You cannot afford NOT to be without an attorney right now.
