Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
i am moving back to texas soon, and i will be divorcing my wife whom i recently caught in the act of cheating on me. texas law states that at least one of members have to have been a resident of texas for 6 months. I am currently living in NC and i am military and my state of residents is texas, has been for 10 years. My question is, even though i havent lived in texas, am i still going to have to wait the 6 months to divorce her, or since i claim it as mt state of residence and my home of record, can i divorce her as soon as i move back. She also moving back by the way, if that helps

Since you are active military, and you have maintained your Texas residency as your permanent home, while active military, you should not have to wait to file.
