Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

moving a divorce file to another state

I got custody of my daughter in the divorce. I remarried and my husband got a job in Ohio. Ex-husband sued for custody in the county in Texas that we lived in when we divorced to prevent us from moving. We retained custody and got permission to move. This was 5 years ago. The case was moved to the county that my ex-husband currently lives in. Since we have lived in Ohio for 5 years, how do we get the case moved up here?

Thank you for your help!

If the daughter and you have both resided in Ohio for the last year, Ohio should be able to take jurisdiction.
