Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Moving

I am a divorced mother of three. I am getting married soon to a man in the military and will be moving out of state to be where he is stationed along with my children. In my divorce decree I am the custodial parent and have the right to domicile as to regards of my children. Do I have to go back to court to have the visitations changed? Can my ex husband prvent me from moving?

Re: Moving

He can absolutely stop the children from moving if there is a geographical restriction. If there is not a restriction, then he would have to file a modification to ask for one.
