moving out at 17

can i legally move out of my current house without telling my parents while at the age of 17 and can they withhold my legal documents if i do i have a job lined up and somewere else i could stay

At 17 you would not be a runaway. If the local police have your current address (which they are not obligated to withhold from your parents) then you would not be considered a missing person. Since you are a minor, dependent child (until you reach 18) the physical property belongs to your parents. Most government agencies will provide you a duplicate driver's license, birth certificate, etc.
