Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

moving out of state re: child support

My x has custody of one child and I have custody of the other. We just went to court re: child support. If I move from TX to LA, can I hire an attorney to have the support modified according to LA guidlines.

There are exception to every general rule, but the general rule is no. You can have the orders registered and enforced in another state, but the originating state often retains modification jurisdiction. You would need to consult with a LA attorney to be certain. Also be sure you are not geographically restricted, before you make this move.
