Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My husband owes back pay child support to his ex we have a daughter of our own. if i were to die would he collect the insurance money if I have her as my beneficiary. We live in TX. And if that is so, would the Attorney General be able to take this money and put it towards his back pay child support obligation? How can I prevent that from happening if they will do that?

Put in in a living trust.
