naming baby

i am in the process of geting a divorce to my abuse husband, i just had the baby and i put my last name for his last name,is this ok ?

i never changed my name was only married 3 mo when i left him.

It sounds ok.

If he wants to have the child's name changed to his last name, he can ask the court to do so. If he does, then the court will ORDER you to change his birth certificate.
