Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My nephew is coming to live with my husband and myself and we are needing some kind of legal guardianship papers for my medical benefits department. The problem is that this was just a simple discusion between us 3 and my sister n law, it is not a court order or anything like that so how can we get those forms or can I typr the forms? Is there a place for me to go to get the info that I would need and examples of how the papers need to be written and then file them ourselves? I have been told that it would be "turning over custody" or even "joint managing conservatorship". I am not sure what we need. Any info you can give is appreciated. Thank you

This sounds like an issue with your health insurance company. They only want to cover people in your family that you are obliged to support as opposed to houseguests. Unfortunately, to turn over custody or establish a guardianship, joint managing conservatorship, a court order is required.

You can't be the first person that has had this problem. Suggest you contact your company's benefits department. Ultimately it sounds like you will need an attorney to help you on this one.
