Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Hello my name is Nicole and I was wondering this, my grandpa passed away about a year ago..he wife who he had just married recently before he passed..told us we could not put him a grave stone At his grave, does she have the right to do that considering my dad and aunts are his immediate family, they where only married for around three months..we where going to pay for it anyway but she tried telling us what to put on it. We payed for everything with the funeral she has paid for absolutely nothing, does she have the right to do this to us?

Please help us figure out what we can do..we loved our grandpa very much we All just wish for him to have the stone he deserves.

Who owned the grave site? If he purchased it during the marriage or if she purchased it after his death, she owns that little piece of land and can control the grave stone. If you purchased the grave site, then I would talk to the cemetary manager directly and just leave the widow out of the discussions.
