Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Non biological grandparents rights in Texas
I am an unwed mother. The father and I have come to a custody and support agreement. We are both 20, and our son is 1 month old. His mother paid an attorney to file the papers, but she has in turn given the attorney all her instructions as to what she wants in the agreement, none of it was what me and the dad wanted. Since my baby's father was adopted by his parents, do they have the same legal rights as biological grandparents, and also, are there any legal avenues available so that I can get her to stop meddling in my life?

It's not necessarily a legal avenue, but you could take charge of your life and that might make a difference. But, if she is paying the bills, that often gives someone a large say so.
